I bought two more of the cameras. One of them works, the second one has no infra-red ability - so only works in daylight. I don't have the strength to pursue this through the appalling mess that is aliexpress customer service.
Summary - cheap products - useless, unhelpful and obstructive customer support.
Fist-line customer support has been briefed to make all the right 'friendly' noises - but when it comes to the second-line folks - they are thoroughly unhelpful.
Only buy from aliexpress if you enjoy banging your head against a brick wall.
The ip camera software that they recommend you use is also a nightmare to set up.
Screengrab below shows two cameras working at night on ir, cam4's ir doesn't work so that screen is black - even though the camera is online.
Disaster from from start to finish.
Video settings not adjustable. Only 15 ftp, not adjustable, so no nice flowing footage.
Only 14 sec alarm videos.
Only 2 mb alarm videos.
5MP? Doesn't do anything. Just a marketing scam I believe.
Loses connection and will not always record and miss birds and alarms.
A lot of barrel distortion.
No software for PC. Links in manual not working.
Not weatherproof, look at all the holes in the metal.
Metal scratches easily.
No easy clear manual to setup mail or ftp.
