Apart from the visual appearance, it is noticeable that it weighs less than previous models because they have eliminated the internal heat sink. This causes it to heat up slightly more and the fan to start if you demand performance from it. The fan, by the way, starts at maximum power and turns off; it doesn't work consistently.
