1.About  “HIK compatibility”

Meaning:

“HIK Compatible” means that this camera supports plug and play with Hikvision brand NVR (Network Video Recorder) and related software.

Core Advantage:

No Manual Configuration: There is no need to manually set the camera IP address, password or complex network debugging.

Plug and Play: Simply connect the camera with Hikvision NVR through the network cable, the system will automatically recognize and complete the pairing, and quickly put into use.

Notes:

Motion detection: when the camera and hikvision NVR work together, for both people and cars will be notified in the form of motion detection.

Two way audio: If the camera comes with Two way audio function, when working with hikvision NVR, it can only support one-way audio.

When the camera does not work with hikvision NVR, it cannot be viewed with HIK-Connect.

This camera is only plug-and-play compatible with Hikvision NVRs running version 4.0 or earlier. If your NVR system is version 5.0, connection is only possible via the ONVIF protocol.

FAQ: 

1. What model is the camera? Will it work with my hikvision NVR?

This Vikylin camera is a hikvision compatible model, compatible with hikvision NVR version 4.0 and below, plug and play, no setup required.

2. What is the default IP address of the camera? How do I change it to my home network IP address?

The default IP address of the camera is 192.168.1.110, the camera is installed with DHCP enabled by default, it will automatically get the same IP address as your home network.

3. What is the camera’s password? If I forget the password, how do I reset it?

Camera default username admin, password 123456, if you forget the password, you can click on the corresponding camera through the search tool to restore the factory settings to reset the password.

4.Which app should I use to view my camera? How do I add a camera?

The mobile client of the camera is videolink, and you can add the camera by scanning the QR code after turning on P2P on the web side of the camera.

5.Why can’t I open the default IP address 192.168.1.110 through browser?

The camera works in DHCP mode by default, it will get the IP settings from the router automatically. Please install the IP search tool (AJdevtools) to find the ip address of the camera. If there is no router in the LAN, the IP address of the camera is 192.168.0.123 (it is recommended to use a browser with IE kernel to access the web side of the camera)

6. Why the NVR does not display images after adding IP cameras?

1. Please select the correct protocol and enter the correct user name and password when adding the camera.

2. Make sure the NVR and IP camera are on the same IP subnet (e.g. NVR:192.168.1 .x, IP camera:192.168.1.y).

3. If the NVR does not support H.265, please try to change the camera encoding mode to H.264.
